Newnham Hotel & Function Centre

This was our local before we moved and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere so much we go out of our way to visit here when we can. It is quite modest but it has really friendly bar staff, lots of sports on as well as a massive screen. There is a well sized pokies area as well as an indoor and outdoor dining area. Free pool on Sundays used to be a favourite of ours.

I have been to the hotel for a range of events including large function and small group training with lunch. The food for the large group lunch was quite good banquet style. They choose well with dishes that kept warm well. The deserts were tasty and generous, plenty of food! The room was clean and spacious and staff friendly. The second visit for training I was a bit confronted by the staff directing us to move our cars a total of 10 parks further down so we didn't take spaces near the function center. Later they weren't particularly friendly at lunch either. My burger was nice but I wouldn't recommend the carbonara that a friend had because it looked like a bowl of cream. Prices were quite reasonable and the other meals looked alright. Mixed bag
