Specialists in catering for the individual needs of children at all Educational levels K-12 On the Northern Beaches of Sydney since 1988!At Newport Education Centre, our tutors have specialties in a wide variety of areas and cater for Kindergarten to Year 12 students. They understand how to make learning enjoyable and how to adapt curriculum to the individual needs of your child.
Over the years we have designed individual programs for children with specific learning difficulties, medical disorders, behaviour disorders, ADD/ADHD diagnosis, gifted and talented students, students sitting for OC tests, selective High Tests and scholarship exams, home-schoolers, travellers, and students who are frequently away from school due to sickness, sporting, or acting commitments. We also cater for average students who are experiencing difficulties in one or more area of study and who are not reaching their potential.
Newport Education Centre on the Northern Beaches has over 30 years of experience in the field. All of our teachers are qualified, caring and experienced (no university students). Tuition is either one-to-one or two-to-one, with all children working on their own individual programs. This means that they are working on what they need to work on when they need it. Our programs are designed according to the individual needs of your child with consideration given to learning styles, strengths and weaknesses.
We happily communicate with schools, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and psychologists who are working with your child to ensure a team approach. Our office on the Northern Beaches is warm, open, inviting and inducive to learning. Students may work on homework in the waiting area before or after lessons if they wish.
Full reports are written at the end of each term and parents can communicate with the teachers at the centre giving them the flexibility to make changes to the structure or content of their child's program at any time. My son attended Newport Education Centre for three years and I am delighted with the results and tuition he received. I truly believe NEC were the only reason we got through the HSC. The support was amazing from Sharyn and her teachers both on and off the clock. Nothing was ever too hard if we had to reschedule and she even dropped him home if I was unable to get there to collect. This is way more than a tuition college, NEC became a real part of my sons learning lifestyle. I cant recommend them highly enough and the investment was well worth it.
My son has been attending Newport Education Centre for a number of years now to help with high school across all subjects, study and assignments. I cannot recommend them enough. Sharon is wonderful and has helped build my son's confidence and as a result we've seen him embrace academic life in high school. Sharon is incredibly accommodating and wonderful with communicating to us how our son is progressing. Not once over all these years has he ever said he didn't want to go to any of his sessions. He says himself how much attending the sessions has helped him and he will continue as he enters years 11 and 12.
We also sent our daughter to the one off session with Sharon to prepare for high school. Our daughter found it very helpful and as a result entered year 7 organised, confident and prepared.
