Newtown Hotel

This pub was awesome, even if it was only due to the number of craft beers available. I just love these types of pubs. Well, actually, it was much more than that, with the cool décor, and the large beer garden out the back, and even the balcony which I didn’t get to check out. Actually, I rarely go upstairs when it comes to pubs, but there was enough room downstairs for me to feel relaxed here. Well, there was also the beer garden, so I guess I was happy with that.

Nice for an arvo beer, pizzas are tasty and reasonably priced

Newie has had a lot of makeover during the past few years, but it is still a great place to hang day or night. The courtyard is great (when it's not jam packed), the upstairs is cute with the van and the balcony, foods decent, booze is unpretencious. Shame you can't smoke at all upstairs though which is my only qualm but it is probably a good thing for the non-smokers!

Great outside courtyard. Good value food. You can even get a Dendy deal - movie + food for $25. Good pub feel. Standard drinks. Sports TV. Leopard print pool table. Food is good.

Good bar, good food. The drinks are cheap, Ive only been there in the day but it had a good vibe. Im sure it gets lively in the evenings
