Newtown Thai

Came here for lunch on a saturday. Very busy and tiny wait for a table but waitress was very accommodating and when seated there were no delays on our order in our group of 7. Had the Bbq beef and Tum Lay Seafood Salad. So good!

Love this place. Always buzzing, always smiling, always open (or so it seems). The food is fresh, tasty and lunch times are the best (especially if you're a student). $7 will give you a decent sized serving of rice with a plethora of curries or stir fries to choose from. We normally opt for green curry or panang, but might try a stir fry next time! If you do choose to dine in, prepare for a crowd, low lying tables and backless stools. Don't take a pram and make sure you wear a coat in winter, it gets blustery!

My friends and I revisited Newtown Thai a couple of weeks back after not coming to this restaurant for a long time. We came at around 10pm on a Thursday night and we were very glad that they were still open for late night snack dinner.

They seem to have stayed the same. Its humble dcor on a humble space, friendly staffs and of course their great taste, authentic Thai food.

Every time we go there we most certainly order their Tom Yum Prawn soup which was very lovely as well as their duck curry my personal favourite. ...read more

Always fantastic. Love their seafood pad Thai Deliveries always on time and still hot.

Always good, fast, and easy. For well priced thai food - this is the place. We dine here often.
