I guess when you accidentally leave your book and your glasses on the table when you leave, and come back to find that not only had they found them, but they remembered who they belonged to, really does tend to set a standard for the customer service, which is the case here. Still, this is a pretty awesome burger bar that does a pretty awesome burger, and some quite tasty fries as well, so I guess there is also that.

I first tried this joint before they moved to their own street frontage store and loved it. This time around I was left really disappointed by quality of the food.

Overall venue is really nice, plenty of seating, easy street level access.

Food is displayed well st the counter which conned me into buy a desert I definitely Didn't need!

Once I ordered there was around 10-15
Mins wait which isn't too bad considering they were reasonably busy.

I got take away - firstly I didn't see the fine print on the menu about a $1 charge for take away (this was printed on the receipt which I inspected later on) - charging customers to leave the store is something I don't like.

Food was really poor. I got bar chip - too salty and not good.

And some ice cream burger - tasted pretty cheap.

Won't be going back there anytime soon.

I found this greasy gem on a work trip to Newcastle a few months back when I was staying at the Crowne plaza.

Fair to say I was shocked that this place even existed let a lone dished up the quality of burgers that they deliver.

I got the double beef and cheese with bacon - this is their best attempt and giving you a self induced heart attack.

Exceptional burger, held together really well. Packed with flavour and best of all they delivered the burger quickly.

Love this place however the face they are shut Monday and Tuesday means I often miss out on going back here due to my work trips landing me there early in the week.
