Indian dance classes in the northern suburb, located specifically in Mill Park 3082.
Indian classical dancing (Bharatanatyam) is on offer and will be conducted by a teacher with over 20yrs experience teaching this dance form. Bharatanatyam is composed of three elements, Bhavam (expression), Ragam (melodies) and Thalam (the rhythm). It is a majestic dance form which incorporates a dancers grace, stamina, structure and emotions.
Classes are available 7 days a week for different ages and experience, and cater for individuals of all ages.
Group classes are generally once a week and individual classes can be arranged for an increased price.
Yearly we will have approximately 4 concerts, with one major annual one and another 3 minor. This gives a chance for students to dress up in Indian costumes and jewellery and perform in front of the audience which is open to friends and families. Major concerts are also usually accompanied by professional musicians who travel from overseas to provide live music for the event.
Prices for beginner group classes are $160 a term (13 classes, once a week) and prices for advanced classes will differ.
