Noosa Film Academy offers Full Day and Half Day Filmmaking and 'Natural Light' Still Photography classes to small groups of all ages and abilities.
Located in the visually rich setting of Noosa on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, classes are taught by Academy Award winning Cinematographer Greg Huglin who received an OSCAR for the 2010 Best Documentary 'The Cove'. Greg has spent several thousand days on location as a Still Photographer creating hundreds of magazine covers and advertisements. Greg is highly experienced, passionate and driven by a desire to nurture each student's talent, regardless of age or level of experience. Each course is designed to be fun, hands-on and fully immersive and teach genuine skills that can be put into action the very next day.
Noosa Film Academy uses a state-of-the-art RED Epic Ultra High Definition 5k video camera, a Panasonic GH-4 DSLR video and still camera, a Canon 7d DSLR IPad monitors and a GoPro HERO5.
Our one day Filmmaking Class teaches students how to direct, produce, shoot and edit a short scripted film. Students alternate between the key roles of Director, Camera Operator, Script Supervisor, Actor, Sound Operator and Editor. Lunch is fully catered and the day concludes with a wrap party and presentation of certificate of completion.
The half Day 'Natural Light' Photography Classes focus on teaching students how to shoot with more confidence and to enhance their camera skills for more creative control. Students master their DSLR camera and learn about composition, depth of field, ISO, aperture, focus, exposure, camera, lenses, reflectors, scrim and directing their model.
