I'd heard about the chicken tikka naan and today was the day to try it. This is the ultimate cheap eat which explains why there was a line out of the door! You get a full sized naan bread (your choice of plain, cheese or garlic), a huge piece of chicken tikka, capsicum, cabbage, onion and sauce. Whilst I was waiting for it to be assembled I spotted the huge samosas and couldn't resist trying a meat one. It was full of delicious meat with a lovely crumbly pastry and the mint chutney was great. the naan hit the spot too. For less than $10 I struggled to eat everything. Great service topped it all off.
Between a quick pop into the mall after work and visiting a friend in hospital, I needed to grab something quick to eat so as I was walking on Hindley street, noticed North Indian Cuisine and decided to pop in to quickly have butter chicken and naan for dinner. Have not been in here before but seemed it couldn't be bad as ther were quite a lot of people inside eating. The space is small but it was more a fast food place where you have a quick dine in or else order takeaway. The butter chicken and garlic naan tasted okay, not the best I have had but it was still nice enough. It was decently priced I suppose for city takeaway, not sure if I would come back anytime soon but at least I know of an Indian Cuisine place I can go to if I have had a craving.
I walked past the place on my way home one night and thought that I might go and check it out, especially since I really like my curries. Not being all that far from my work I went down here for lunch, even if it was just to have a dose of curry (not that I have had much of late). First of all it was quite inexpensive, and they give you three curries on rice for the medium size, and the curries were pretty nice as well. However, for some reason I really didn't like the customer service in the place. Okay, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly great either. Maybe it was just me because as I was sitting down for lunch there were quite a lot of people piling through the doors. Then again, they may just like the cheap food and the great curries.
