I have had no better service. And just being able to ask questions and get real and helpful answers. Ive read many of the comments and think alot are un fair. The stuff you buy they dont make. I was clearly told that if I could it would be better to swap out some parts of my plane as its a great palne but needs some better parts in palces. Their price was cheaper than online also which was great.
And with a weaalth of experiance in fixed wing I have been able to get answers easily and without feeling stupid. Id also like to say that Ive never felt rushed in there. And I remmember going in ther when they first opened and now over 20 years later back again.
I have totally destroyed my plane by my own doing, but learnt alot by trail error and advice. Am going to pick up a new one and use my other 'New One' as parts. Thanks for all your help, and a special shout out to Angus for all your help.
Do not buy from these people! We bought product from them that blew up same day. Not crashed or dammaged in any way by us. It just blew up after no more than 10 mins of use. We tried to get a refund but was told no. They agreed that the parts should not have blown up and was not our fault but suggested we pay extra to replace those parts to better quality than original then we would have no more issues. Stupidly I said yes (should have stuck to my guns on a refund) well in short we had constant issues. Anytime I contacted them about it. It was always my fault a "I should know more. If we knew about RC as they did we would know this was normal". But we could never get the item to work without parts falling off or breaking for more than 5-10 mins at a time. ...read more
Ive been into R/C for just on a year now, cars mainly with a bit of Quad Copter intrest. I buy some stuff online but these guys are pretty good on price, as good as any online store out there. I did have a bit of an issue once where i didnt have my parts book and they coudnt help me, but i did get the part numbers and all was good.
** WARNING ** Do not buy any RC cars, planes, or helicopters from this store, nor should you get any "repairs" done at this place. I had a repair job booked in here and was told my parts would be received in a few days - a few weeks later and they didn't even have the courtesy to call me to let me know the part was not available from the supplier. It seems at Nothern Beaches Hobby Centre the customer comes 2nd. In the end I had to take it back off them and fix it myself! ...read more
Let me guess,
you purchased a r/c plane/copter it bounced due to you being careless, you took it back to these very helpful guys @ Nthn beaches hobbies & wanted a refund.
I had the same problem a few months ago with my wife crashing her 2 week old Holden Barina. I still can't understand why the salesman won't give me a refund.
These fellas @ Nthn Beaches Hobbies are a wealth of info very friendly and fair prices
In reply to "Twonk" no I did not just buy and crash a heli and ask for a refund - As stated in my review NBHC are extremely slow at ordering parts and the person behind the counter who said he new heli's couldn't even get the battery in! Yes, a wealth of knowledge there!!
As for the Wife's Barina comment - You are way off the mark.
More like: My wife bought a new Barina and the battery died so I took it to the dealership and they took 8 weeks to get the battery in then once in they didn't know which was the positive and negative so they couldn't install it!... That's a better comparison.
