I have been with Northgate for 4 years now. And their services is over the top fantastic. From day one signing up to now the staff have been friendly and helpful. If i needed things fixed it was done straight away.
At the end of the day pay your rent keep your home how it was when you first moved in and you won't have any problems. Thats with any agency.
Northgate staff thank you best agency ive delt with in 15 years.
Kind Regards Melissa
Thank you for your kind words Melissa, our team do take great pride in looking after the interests of our landlords to maintain their investment for the future. We look forward to another four years of assisting you with your next Investment Rental Property, as many others have .
Choosing Northgate was the worst mistake I made in choosing a rental property. Upon cleaning and ensuring the property was left in good condition, we still haven't recieved our bond and are getting charged extra for a cleaning service, which was not necessary. This company is a complete joke. The service is terrible and they never answer your phone calls or emails. When we first signed the lease our agent said she was known as a 'good real estate agent' and I know its because she tries to squeeze every penny out of you. Just don't choose them, its worth waiting until you find a better property with a professional company.
The property when left was not in the same condition as when it was tenanted, over 200 photos of the premaises showed that the cleanliness was not up to standard and therefore a professional clean was needed to bring it back to the original condition. A portion of the bond was used to cover the necessary cleaning of the premises and was agreed upon by the tenant as well. The residual of the bond was left to the SACAt (Residential Tenancies) to be distributed to the tenant. We acted in the interests of the landlord to maintain the condition ofthe Property and within the confines of the act.
Worst real estate i have ever dealt in my life,we have done cleaning but they are still not paying bond.we have pay water bills & they ask us to pay again, when we showed them transactions history then they stop replying,we are going to take this matter in court as they have taken the whole bond even though we have done all cleaning. They have no manners how to talk with customers & feel proud to have a bad feedback.
I will prefer to stay on street rather than taking property from them.
Once again having taken over 200 individual photographs of the premises as well as an ingoing inspection report signed by the tenant the premises was left in a state of dissaray and not cleaned to the standard it was upon entry to the tenancy. Professional cleaners were used after the property was handed back in a poooor state. The tenant was aware that Outstanding water usage is calculated on a daily basis and at the termination of the tenancy up to the last date of occupation. The outstanding amount was deducted from the bond along with the necessary charges to return the property to a lettable standard and the condition it was uppon entry. This matter as taken to the Tribunal and payments were awarded to the landlord from the bond for outstanding debts payable by the tenant, based upon both the photographic evidence and the ingoing inspection report.
Totally agree with other reviews.
We had terrible experience with Northgate realestate as a landlord.
We'd never recommend them to our friends/family!
We have no record of you on our rental system at all , we would welcome your specific experiences you generalise here, and be more than happy to discuss them with you. generic coplaints can never be assessed, unless they are raised and dealt with. We have hundreds of landlords we manage for and if we ever have issues we glaldy listen and deal with them to reach a satisfactory resolution. It is part of our good agency practice
Totally agree with previous review. Cost $1000's to get the house back to "saleable condition" after the tenants they recommended had vacated !! DO NOT let these people manage your property !! Only gave half star rating because minus wasn't available.
Our management team never place a tenant within a property without the final consent and total agreement of the landlord. We made representations based on full discloure of information from the tenants and then you as landlord then made the final decision. If there was any damage caused during the tenancy for whatever reason beyond our control, then mandatory Landlords Protection Insurance would have covered your losses if any incurred, including any loss of rental income.
