This is by far and above the best vet I have ever used. It is definitely not glamorous and doesn't have mod cons (they still keep all their records on index cards and only have one phone line for the eftpos machine and phone!) but it doesn't matter one bit. Peter is extremely knowledgable and no nonsense. He clearly loves animals and the best part is he charges amazingly reasonably prices. For example, my dog has ongoing allergies and he only charged me $35 for a consult and a cortisone shot, something that cost me well over $150 at my previous vet. I also like that it is a drop-in service meaning you don't have to wait to get an appointment. I highly recommend Peter to everyone and anyone who has pets.

You don't go here for the plush surrounds you go for the fair pricing and second to none veterinary care. I have taken my cats and the occasional dog here for over 15 years.

Pete is the most amazing vet. Dont let the look of his surgery fool you. He is brilliant. We have been going to Pete since for 30+ years, and you couldnt get a more caring, honest, reliable vet. The best vet in Canberra hands down.

The greatest veterinary clinic I have ever had the privilege to use they don't need to be fancy to have the best level of care. Peter isn't always easy to get a hold of but he'll drop everything to help someone in need. He is straight forward, honest, reliable and always willing to help someone expand their knowledge. I recommend him to all the pet owners I know and don't fully trust the advice of anyone else.

Peter Burgess is a fantastic vet who has looked after my pets for 20 years. He is compassionate, offers a professional service, and is good value for money. Don't worry about the potholes outside his surgery or the fact that his waiting room isn't glamorous because it is how he looks after your pets that is what you are there for. He is a five star vet without the costly price tag. I wouldn't go anywhere else. And yes, you need to read his clinic opening hours on his front door.
