My fiance and I stayed at the hotel using a Scoopon deal which included buffet breakfast. It may be because of this that we weren't put in the greatest of rooms. We were in a room right next to the elevators, with not much of a view. Even if we had a great view, it would have been obscured by the dirty windows, which look like they haven't been cleaned in months. Our bathroom flooded every day after using the shower, even though we tried our best to create a seal with the shower curtain.
Other than this, the room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We both enjoyed the buffet breakfast, which had a nice selection of hot and cold foods. The hotel is in a great location and we walked everywhere we needed to go.
I'm not sure I would describe the hotel as a 4 star. For the price we paid with the Scoopon, we weren't too disappointed, but if we had to pay full price, this might have been a different story.
Only stayed here one night and booked through Hotels.com but was impressed with the hotel and the service. It's in a nice location - just a few mintues walk to the Swan River and a few minutes more to get right into the heart of the CBD. Amazingly, we were given a free upgrade to a junior suite which had a spa and river views so I was extremely happy with that. They also gave us an additional one hour for check out. The size and decor of our room was nice with lots of windows. The room was also very clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was included and the amount and variety of food was excellent. Staff were very obliging to store our luggage the next day after check out. The only tiny complaint I'd have is the reference to a "Jogger's Map" in the room's compendium - I asked about it at reception and there were none left, so I was given a general map and told that if I took a certain course it would be about 4 to 5km, but when I took that course my ...read more
We had our wedding reception here a few years ago and both the food and staff were very impressive. Guests from our wedding still compare our wedding to others and comment on how good the food was. We were very impressed with our room that we stayed in. Beautiful views and not shy on the size. Very happy with the service and everything really.
I stayed here for two weeks for business, and it was fantastic. Accommodation was stylish & modern and having 2 bars & 2 restaurants on the ground floor is very handy. Staff were fantastic, and having a spa and gym on the top floor was sensational. Great views whilst working out !!
