I recently purchased a new bike from this store with the assistance of knowledgable staff, friendly service and options rather than advice. The chap I was talking to was only too happy to have me indecisively swap back and forth between bikes, asking every imaginable question, answering each with a smile. Needless to say, the bike is a dream, it's covered under warranty and I'd happily go back to this store for any more cycling needs.
My wife went into this bike shop with my four year old to enquire about a bike for her. She encountered an extremely rude salesperson. While they were looking around, our 4 yo my daughter got told off by this person who brought my daughter to tears. All she did was putting her hands on a bike handle and she was told to "keep your hands off the bike" in those exact words by them. Our daughter is the most well behaved girl in public and has never encounter something like this before and she is always been supervised. Its their loss they lost a customer today. Be warned, they are NOT child friendly.
You need to understand this in not a Kmart bike store. There are bike in that shop over 10k. I have purchased many bikes from NRG over the years including my children's bikes and never had a problem, in fact I'd recommend them to anyone. Mind you I avoid taking the kids in to a shop like this. Mine are also very well behaved, but kids will be kids.
