Nudgee Cemetery

Nudgee Cemetery is owned and operated by the Corporation of the Trustees of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Brisbane. A common misunderstanding is that you must be a Catholic to be buried at Nudgee Cemetery.

This has never been the case, although up until 1957, permission was required from the Bishop for non-Catholics to be buried in the Cemetery. Anyone, regardless of their religious beliefs, is able to be buried at Nudgee Cemetery.

In August 2014 a new crematorium was commissioned. The unit is State of the Art and its performance exceeds environmental expectation and regulation. As with burial there is a range of suitable memorials for those that choose cremation.

Conveniently located in the inner northern suburbs of Brisbane about 20 minutes from the City, Nudgee Cemetery is easily accessed either from the Gateway Arterial Road or Sandgate, Toombul and St Vincent's Roads.
