Nyrang Homestead home of Barton Creek Wines is a magnificent country mansion and vineyard, on land once owned by Banjo Patterson's grandmother Emily Barton, that offers unique accommodation on a grand scale. Wine tastings are available.
The homestead was built of bluestone at the turn of the century and is nestled in the foothills of Mount Canobolas in the heart of Central New South Wales (NSW), Australia.
The homestead is of local historical significance and contains 36 rooms including 7 bathrooms and 7 guest rooms. A large vestibule leads to the grand dinning room, butlers pantry and wine cellar. Nyrang has a spacious kitchen with a proving oven (now a wood fired pizza oven) built by the Italian builders in 1907.
The property also boasts the original school house, now available as studio style accommodation. There is a coach house, stables, and shearing shed, grooms cottage, milking bale and a modern machinery shed.
