Oakleigh Dental Centre

Definitely recommend this dentist, went there for a toothache last week and felt at ease the whole time!
I suffer from severe dental anxiety and felt comfortable from the minute i stepped in the door...
The staff are so down to earth and friendly. The dentist was caring and professional and fixed my problem on the spot!
Going to the dentist is never nice but i feel better after having a nice experience ??

I had a very similar experience to Zoe104.
I didn't know any dentists (i'm new to Melbourne) so I decided to go to the local one, in Oakleigh. I booked appointment via phone, there was an appointment available for the next day. I went for a general check up (50$). No toothpain, bleeding etc, nothing.
The waiting room was ok, the nice lady at the reception, and my appointment was on time. I was surprised that the dentist didnt close the door during the appointment, and everyone in waiting room opposite the surgery room could hear/see us.. But maybe it is a general practice in Australia??

I was a client at the oakleigh dental centre at the beginning of the year, I went for a general check up but being a uni student called first to find out the cost of the consultation. Which I was told would cost around $50 - $60. Once I got there, the dentist started doing all sorts. I was obviously naive in the situation and didn't ask questions, she took 3 x-rays without asking first, then began cleaning my teeth ALSO without asking first, long story short instead of walking out and paying the original price I assumed it would be, it cost me close to $400 when all I wanted was a general check up without x-rays. The denist also informed me I had many problems which I would need to return to get fixed, obviously I didn't listen to her and went and saw another dentist to get a second opinion, who told me there was nothing wrong with my teeth. I would NEVER return to that clinic. Would not recommend.

Excellent service provided by staff - from receptionist to nurse to dentist. Plenty of parking located nearby and it's also close to a train station. Clinic is quite comfortable and very clean, and the clinic hours are very flexible.
