Oberoi Indian Restaurant

This place was basically the place that ended up satisfying my craving for some Indian curry. It was conveniently located next to where I was staying so as soon as I arrived in Coffs I basically made some arrangements for dinner, and this was the place that I ended up visiting. The staff were pretty cool as well, or at least the one person that was here. Yeah, it turned out that the curry was pretty good, so I’d recommend this place.

cannot say about Veg but Chicken was definitely aweful. the chicken looked old as it was all ripped apart breast pieces. Curry was nothing but just tomato paste. no where like a tikka masala. Staff told they don't serve roti but only naan which is strange when you are running an Indian restaurant.

I totally agree with most people here. We were at Coffs 3 weeks ago. My husband and I actually wanted to eat a Thai place but when we just stopped to read the menu, the staff suggested we come in and check the menu and the management stated that we'd get our money back if we are not happy with the meal. We went in and ordered entre, main etc. Like someone said here, the entre, Chicken tikka came within minutes and whew it was horrible!!!! I wanted to leave but since we have placed our order, had to stay back. Main meal was some chicken curry and lamb. Chicken was totally unpalatable! And to add insult to injury, the management came over when they saw how disgusted I looked and didn't bother even asking if we were enjoying the meal. They said to me that this is how Indian chicken curry tastes! Meh am Indian too and I know what an Indian chicken curry tastes like! Totally awful experience. We barely touched the meal. Me and my partner dined at Oberoi's last night and we were very impressed! I had a chicken korma, he had a Bombay beef and we shared a garlic naan. The service was good, the girls helped us with any questions we had and our meal came out quite quickly. I've read a couple of the reviews below and wonder if we at the same restaurant because found nothing to complain about on my visit! I will most definitely be back! The restaurant's interior was warm and inviting also. I've lived in the area for a good 10 years and can safely say that the food here is the best Indian I have eaten :)

After we paid more than we felt the meal was worth staff said to us bitterly "its fine, you obviously just cant afford any more". We felt very insulted and have never been spoken to in such a rude manner! We were so shocked that after speaking to staff very politely we were being insulted so rudely!
