Came here for for the KING OF THE WINGS preview pop up which starts on 3 May. It's a great space with one central bar by the entrance and one at the far end to the back of the split level maze. It was a great function space in my opinion that comfortably fits 200+ people for a standing reception. The craft beers, spirits and wine on offer not far from Circular Quay make this an ideal pit stop.
The menu is pretty ordinary to accommodate a wide pallette of locals and tourists from the impending foot traffic, so i can see how being safe and not too adventurous would work well here.
King of the Wings was a pop up event event held in the Observer hotel, the Rocks. The hotel and event catered well to a large crowd with a range of finger food, Stone and Wood beer on tap and a range of cocktails freely flowing. If patient, there were an ample amount of wings going around to satisfy ones appetite.
The burger joint that is Located at the back of the observer hotel is great. The girls that work there are so helpful and the portion size is very generous. The patty is well done but it works for these style of hamburgers. The menu is big so plenty of choice for everyone. Make sure you order the onion rings!
There are so many pubs crowded into this section of Sydney that some of the more ordinary ones, such as this one, seem to pale into insignificant. This isn't a bad pub, but it certainly isn't one of my favourites, and as you can probably guess, it isn't one of those stand out amazing pubs either. It is basically an ordinary pub with an ordinary selection of beers on tap. They have a couple of beer gardens but they are both non-smoking, so there is no enjoying a beer and a cigarette at this place (for those who like that). They do have a burger bar out the back, but due to having already eaten I wasn't much in the mood for trying one (though I'm not a big fan of burgers anyway). This is probably one of those pubs that you visit simply to say that you have visited it.
