Odyssey Proofreading provides on-screen and hard copy proofreading, copy editing and manuscript assessment services.ere at Odyssey we provide traditional hard copy (paper) and on-screen (computer) proofreading, copy editing and manuscript assesment services.
Significantly, we review each other�s work. Two sets of eyes to go over your document, ensuring that the copy we return to you is of the highest quality, ready to be published. This is a basic tenet of our service to you.
Proofreading
We scrutinise your document for any errors in spelling, punctuation or grammar.
Hard copy: Please send as a typed-up text. We will mark it up in the required format ready for publication.
On screen: Send your work as computer format. We will correct it electronically and return it to you ready for publication.
Copy Editing
We will check for errors in punctuation, spelling, grammar, layout consistency and where possible, factual accuracy.
Hard copy: Please send your document as double spaced and typed-up text. It will be marked up and edited in the required format ready for publication.
On screen: Send your work as computer format. We will correct electronically and return it to you ready for publication.
Manuscript Assessments
It is quite common for publishers to request an assessment of an author�s work before it is accepted.
For authors and publishers, we review your manuscript and provide a report on the suitability of your document for publication.
