I came into the store simply to purchase a small whiteboard and some markers. As I placed my items on the counter, the attendant (I think her name was 'Nicole') didn't greet me, tell me the total of my products or offer a receipt. She was paying too much attention to something she found more amusing and overall, she had a massively negative impact on my shopping experience. She is rude and her performance should be managed accordingly.
Not bad to head to if you need some last minute stationary or printing needs. It is very expensive though to get things printed. I went in there with a colour A4 sheet which I needed to get reproduced 20 times, cost me $60. It would have been cheaper for me to buy a box of paper and a colour printer and just do it myself at home.
Sometimes you can get some good advertised prices here on tech gear, but I'll be avoiding the print area in the future.
I have given up on this store.
I tried this store one last time in august 2014 for a multifunction center and after repeated attempts to gain advise from staff no where to be seen, I walked over to the photo center after 20 minutes waiting, where staff where working in a hope that I could speak to someone in regards to a printer/multifunction machine.
The staff there to their credit helped me as much as staff knew how too in a field staff did not specialize in, staff paged the floor for the appropriate staff 4 times, no one came at, staff seemed embarrassed as this person knew this is atrocious service.
After near 40 minutes I gave up and bought over $4,000 worth of office products elsewhere.
There are plenty of other stores that stock the same products in Penrith with far better customer service and same or better price.
I have gone into Officeworks twice this week. On both occasions every staff member I interacted with was rude and acted as though I was keeping them from something more important.
