Currently doing click and collect, called to confirm order is ready before getting in car and driving to Preston, only two options to speak to customer service.
No answer, phone rang continuously 4 times. When arrived to outlet 5 people walking around inside doing nothing!
When I asked young girl who was sent out to help us if they are currently answering the phone she said no when asked why she said it's the way it is! I suggested a message be created to communicate to customers they are currently not taking calls. This should also be stipulated on they're website. ...read more
The worst service i have ever experienced! Tried to get the attention of the staff for some help no one wanted to come near me. Finally had one guy walk over who was as helpful as a blind person look for a needle in a hay stack, walks or without giving any help at all. Finally got the most help off another customer while there was three staff standing there talking to each other knowing i was struggling with a screaming baby and how to use the self serve machine. Then on the way out after the other customer helps me one of the three staff talking amongst each other ask if i would like a balloon on the way out?.......how about some good customer service!
I called up to check if an item was in stock and was told that it was after a 10 minutes phone call. So off I went to this store, as there was none left in the few Officeworks stores I like to go to.
After standing behind 2 employees having conversation. I finally found an opening to ask them if a particular item was in stock. Warning! Don't bother going to Officeworks Preston, or any other Officeworks store for that matter, if you're in the market for a new computer. You'll be ignored by idle staff, who have very little product knowledge. We found they were out of new stock at six stores we tried (after struggling for at least 15 minutes for service at each quiet, but big, store)) of the model we were after. But, they had returned (didn't know why, presumably faulty) and damaged stock they were happy to sell us at a slight discount. Then we found one store that did have the model in stock. We'd found a cheaper price on line, which they said they'd price match. But they were never going to live up to that promise, as they source almost unique warranty terms from the manufacturers, so the terms from other retailers will never match.
