Amazing food every single time and the staff are fantastic!

'm taking the time to write this review to hopefully save other people from having the the same bad experience as ours. Myself and my fiance love our indian food and go out and eat it quite regularly, we thought we would try this place as we hadn't ate there before. We ordered a few main meals and some rice, naan, roti etc., my fiance loves butter chicken and always orders it where ever we go, Once we got home and dished it up we noticed that the butter chicken was more like a soup than a curry and it tasted completely different than any other butter chicken than we had tried before, it was not good, the other two curries were very average too. The Naan and roti were dripping with orange oil and it was soaked right through the bag. My fiance called the restaurant to give feedback and was answered by the kitchen staff who was arrogant and rude and pretty much couldn't care less. G'DAY! Amazing little place. I've been going there for at least 15 years and love it still today! Great curries that melt in your mouth and are definitely not cooked when you order, like some places (ie: they are cooked properly to allow the spices to blens and the meat the tenderise). The staff are lovely, the food is great, the menu write ups are hilarious and the Zindaloo does what it says!

Oh Calcutta is a diamond in the rough! It does not convey it from the outside, but the food and atmosphere are fantastic and the owner John is hilarious. Great BYO prices and the takeaway is a bargain. One of the South's best kept secrets.
