Oiden Rice Bowl Bar

Such great selections at Skyview, but there are so many standout dishes here that makes this one my favorite of the night!!! From ordering to preparation, things are swift and that's what city workers and dwellers want – without compromising good quality bowls of rice and noodles.

Just absolutely love the GARLIC BUTTER TERIYAKI chicken – beautifully moist, sweet sauce, drizzles of sesame that you spoon into the rice!!! This would be my “Go To” dish! The ONTAMA SALMON is more subtle in flavours allowing the fish to sing. Im generally not a fan of udon noodles, so it was a surprise how much I enjoyed the BUKKAKE KIM CHI which weaves the pickled flavours into a nice hot broth with pork mince – it was so good!

Loved watching the action in the kitchen as you line up and get a full view of the food prep. Would definitely come back!

Eat here once every few weeks as it is quick and convenient. The average price is $8-10 and servings are generous. Fan favourite is the Garlic Butter Terayaki Chicken bowl. Do not give it a miss

There are lots of options at Skyview food court but it's Japanese for me! Oiden specializes in rice bowls - we sampled the double BBQ wagyu beef bowl, salmon & ontama egg and the garlic butter teriyaki chicken. All the meats were of good quality and the dishes came out quickly. For a rice lover this place is heaven. For something different try the matcha milk drinks. We tried the mochi balls filled with red bean for dessert and they were very nice. I especially liked the black mochi balls - which are covered in sesame. This place is exactly what you are looking for when you walk into this food court - good quality, fresh and tasty meals at a reasonable price.

It is hard to top Menya Mappen in my heart, but its rice loving sister venue Oiden must come close. Loads of options for Japanese rice bowls with the tempura bar and side dishes just like Mappen.
