Old Growler

I had a good night knocking back whisky and craft brews in this dive bar, with live music also on offer. Would drink there again!

I knew about this place but wasn't quiet sure where it was located since I am not all that familiar with Sydney. Imagine my surprise when I stepped out of a bookshop I was checking out to discover that it was right next door. I wasn't sure what I was going to get but when I descended the stairs and stepped into the cellar I was literally blown away. This place is awesome, and not only that the staff are really cool. They are incredibly welcoming, and are more than happy to help you select one of the many craft beers that they have on tap. Moreso, not only do that have a decent collection, they are pretty cheap as well. Okay, they do have drinks specials for locals, but sometimes they don't even seem to care whether you live in the suburb or somewhere else around the globe (unless the happy hour price is cheaper than what I paid). Definitely worth checking out if you are around here, are certainly heaps better that what you normally get down this end of Sydney.
