I have been dealing with this firm since mid May and case still currently going. Through out that time the lawyers have been professional, respectful and honest. I have been very fairly charged for time spent. Would deffinatly recommend this law firm to anyone needing legal advise or help.
Basically done nothing i couldn't have done myself. Lawyer would rock up late, if at all. Milked me out of nearly $5000 for a guilty plea, no pre trial conference, hardly any corresponance. Was spun a bunch of nonsense and convinced to plead guilty to make it less work for them. Paid another lawyer $1200 for the same charge and the case was dismissed. I would be very weary of forking out cash up front. They may know their law But they know how to take the $$$ for minimal work. I noticed a sign while i was there it read : ''We work for you!'' Well duh who are you supposed to work for? The prosecution? My advice, go somewhere else. Ps everytime i was there it appeared to be very dissorganised.
I hear you Jonny. A lawyer at this firm is representing his own brother against a case they are trying to use on me. It is so childish it shouldn't even be going to court. I believe it is an abuse of the court system. How can this lawyer be allowed to represent his brother??
I chose to have Adam Richards law firm to represent me as I was looking at being incarcerated as I had some hefty new charges while 1 month into a 7 month suspended sentence. A lawyer named Katrina appeared for me ( she was awesome and really knew her stuff) as well as Adam Richards himself.
I cannot speak highly enough of the lawyers at Old Port Chambers. I ended up qualifying to be heard under mental health court and got a Griffith's remand for 12 months and sentencing after this time. Within those 12 months I did not re offend and was sentenced to 14 months suspended sentence and 3 year supervision under corrections. Much better than the 7 months in jail I was expecting. These lawyers look at every possible way to save their clients from incarceration. Great lawyers:)
