Olivia and her team were a pleasure to deal with. They were referred by two separate friends. They provided a free quote (which came in about $1000 less than the next best quote, which didn't concern us as we had seen that the quality provided was still high) and were available when we wanted. They brought colours over for us to test out and pick the appropriate shade. They spent 3 days at our place and covered about 160 square meters of floor - sanding back, replacing some floorboards and then staining and polishing. We were very happy with the result! Would definitely recommend.
A friend referred me to this services, the finished product was fantastic and the cost was very competitive. However, I was very disappointed and angry to find that whilst we were not home, new clients had been allowed to look inside our house and view the work completed thus far. A key to our home was given for a specific purpose, not to use our home as a display home. Very disappointed and feel a sense of violation.
I was referred to Midas flooring from a work colleague. Got 4 quotes in total for sanding and 3 coats of polyurethane varnish (94m2) in the Mont Albert, Victoria area. Midas was the most competitive coming in at $2050. On removal of carpets, some particle board was found beneath an extension. They fixed this at a great price and Colour matched the new timber with the old timber perfectly. Even with all this additional work, and removal of carpets, Midas beat other quotes ($2850 vs other quotes in the $6000, $7000 range). All in all, if you are looking for very honest, professional flooring specialists, you don't have to look further than these guys. Communication was professional and responsive, and sometimes a bit hi tech, with Olivia sending photos over SMS to verify colour. I've been recommending Midas to anyone I know who is looking for quality flooring ok work at an unbeatable price.
