O'meara Property

We rented a holiday house for 3 nights in 72 Government Road through Stays and O'meara, and soon when we arrived, we found a very old and low maintenance house. O'meara showed incompetence in running a business in both technical and customer services capabilities.

During the first and the only night, we found water drops coming from different places from the ceiling in the middle bedroom.
When complaining the next day, a non experienced holiday consultant pretended not to know anything about the ceiling's cracks - Cracks are very obvious due to previous water leakage because of the ugly V-shape of the property roof design, see photos - and even she couldn't help us in finding any another ...read more

Absolutely discusting! these people help themselves to your credit card after checkout and charge unnecessary fees only justified in thier own minds and conditions. When called to discuss reasons the agent immidiately went into argumentative mode and would not reverse the unjustified and unfair charge. Dont need this hassle when holidaying, plenty of other professional agent to go to with more competative rates. Do yourselves a favour and go elsewher. Side note the unit was advertised and booked as waterfront which it was not !!! when asked why we were not given the vacant waterfront again a whole lot of excuses. I am an agent myself of 30 years experience far from what this lot are doing . Never again !

Absolutely terrible. We booked for 3 nights 2 weeks back and they confirmed our booking and payment also taken. Just 2 days prior holidays they said they are canceling our booking as they haven't received payment. We then scanned email the receipt of payment which clearly stated your balance due is $0. Then they made excuse that oh property water supply is damaged and its not liviable. Ok can you give us that in writing and accommodate us to some other location by same price. They didn't did either. Very very bad experience. Problem is even your stay is confirmed and you take time off from work. They can cancel it anytime for no reason and you are screwed. Dont trust them at all.

O'Meara Property were extremely difficult to deal with to the point of

being upsetting. Our contact for the apartment we rented in Nelson's Bay was extremely rude and unprofessional on the telephone and refused to respond to three separate emails, each containing the same very basic (but pertinent) question about the interior of the property which we were renting. Not all of the facilities listed on the property spec. were available to us during our rental period and, despite this amounting in law to a breach of contract, O'Meara Property did not offer so much as an apology on the matter.



Upsetting experience all around and despite the property itself being well presented, maintained and stocked by the management I would not recommend renting through O'Meara Property.
