I love this place! The decor is really basic and they could do alot more with it, but the breakfast is amazing! The eggs! They have a whiteboard that sits on the floor in front of the register with about 15 different combinations of eggs and 2 or more other fillings each. Ive had just about every scramble on the menu and each is as good as the last! The staff are very friendly and smiling hello's sing out from all of them as soon as you enter the place!
The choices for scrambled eggs range from Jonno (chorizo, holoumi, tomato) to Dr Seuss (ham, basil, pesto) to Indy (bacon, tomato, potato). I took a seat by the counter in this brightly lit cafe. A few customers occupied the outdoor seating area. I expected great things but it was not to be ...
The Bandit ($12.90), scrambled eggs with chorizo, potato and chilli oil, was generous in serving size. But it was far too salty - I wondered if there had been an accident with the salt shaker. The taste still persisted after a coffee and several glasses of water. The latte (Allpress) was average in taste and plain in presentation (no expresso art). Service was lukewarm, although I noted friendly banter with presumed regular customers.
This corner cafe has so much potential, but I left really disappointed.
