It was great to deal with a company that was interested in solving our problem and not in trying to over charge us for unnecesary works. They arrived on time and wasted no time in finding the problem with our hot water unit , they had the spare parts in the truck which saved time. Not recommended! When my Dux hot water system (HWS) broke, I called two companies - other company (from the 1300 number) and these guys. These guys replied first and they quoted me $1200-1500 (depending on size 135L or 185L) and the other company partner next with the same quote $1200. As a courtesy to the guy who replied first I booked these guys to come the next Saturday. The guy came 20 minutes late and quoted me $1980. I said the price was not as quoted and I can only afford $1200. When I declined the new quote they said I had to pay a $158 service charge for their 10 minute advice! Just to finish them out I reluctantly paid and vowed to take them to fair trading. I then went with the other company and got my hot water installed for $1200. When I spoke to the management they denied giving me the quote. I said if I was given the $1980 quote I would have gone straight to the 2nd company.
One Hour Plumbing made a call the customer to try and resolve the issue due the facts stated we incorrect.

Dear potential customers, please review my feedback and the other negative feedback. I was the one who was misled with a more expensive quote. Do your homework and get another plumber for a written quote.
It was about 2.00 am when my water heater exploded in my unit. water was going every where! From the moment I called. Steve instructed me how to shut off the flood coming from my heater which prevented further damaged to the unit and then to turn the power off which was sparking and really concerned me . About an hour later they arrived and install a new hot water unit and then too my surprise they helped me clean up , yes there are still angles out there who go the extra yards.

Wow,within an 1hr off calling the office i had the plumber at the door.The $68 call out fee is probably the cheapest around and was well worth the time to get Simon out.He explained to me how my Gas hot water system works and being a 12yr old unit still had plenty of life left.Before any work began he explained to me what was most likely the problem and what price we would be looking at.Simons work ethic is brilliant and his experience shows because after an hour the unit was fixed and working again.
So i went from getting $700 quotes to repair the unit and $1800 total replacements by other company's to just getting the right advice and saving me all that money.
I recommend One Hour Plumbing to anyone who needs honest plumbing advice and especially to Simon who was brilliant.I will definitely use this company again.
Living in the mid-Blue Mountains, we didn't get, or expect, one-hour (or even same day) response to our hot water system fault, but this was not a problem, as we guessed we were outside their normal service area.
Service was friendly, and technician (Simon) explained everything very clearly. Price was reasonable.
Would definitely use them again if necessary.
