One Penny Black

Well, I had passed on a couple of really nice cafes for breakfast and ended up settling on this one. That turned out to be somewhat of a big mistake. I really didn’t like this place at all. Okay, it isn’t anywhere near as bad as some places that I had visited, but honestly, it really wasn’t all that great either. Sure, the service was good, but not really that great. The other thing was that they really didn’t have a huge selection on their menu, or at least not anything that grabbed my attention. Oh, and the tea was pretty strong as well. However, I decided that having breakfast here was, well, the best option that I had, so decided to anyway.

Definite must go if your in Newcastle. The cafe is in the mall on Hunter Street and has a hipster atmosphere. They have lots of baked goods and a nice menu. I highly recommend the Guinea Toasted Sarnie $13 - it was wonderful with a good balance of flavours.
