ate here on holiday over crissy had to say food was really good, service great all in all a very nice night. my partner and I loved the tapas, and sangria to share. we had prawns in an Asian style sauce and they were the best prawns either of us had tried. we ate a few different places in broadie but onyx was the best, when we come back to the goldie in march we will come back for sure!!!
Well I would have to say that I had quite a nice dinner here.
Spent $85.00 for two orange juices, a bruschetta, turkish bread and dips, steak and mash, and a caesar salad.
Food wasn't too bad.
The live music was great however. Dean was his name, nice acoustic and soul vocals accompanied by his six-string.
Terrible Food! We had a large group dinning at this restaurant and everyone had a bad meal.. Many of us have travelled through Spain so loved the idea of tapas in Broadbeach, though we knew it would not be the same we thought we'd give it a go. The food was of greasy fast food standard and the drinks were VERY expensive! $16-$20 for ice, vodka and a lychee. Would NOT recommend!!!
Service terrible, waited over an hour for breakfast, coffee machine broken. We were also charged a public holiday surcharge, which is actually illegal and today (1/1/11) is not classified as a public holiday, I stated this to the waitress who said we can charge whatever we like. Was also charged $40 more than what we ordered which took 5 minutes of explaining what we actually ordered. I would never go back to this restaurant, food and service very ordinary.
