Opal Stone Nail Salon

I’ve been having my nails done for 15 years and this by far is the worst experience I have ever had. I decided to try Opal Nails in Yarraville as I was in the area and only needed a refill - arguably the most simple service.
I went in to the salon with a perfect existing coffin shape and natural thickness previously performed at my usual salon, Venus Nails in South Yarra. I left with chunky, lumpy nails, acrylic on my fingers, the incorrect nail colour messily applied (patchy and on my skin) in various lengths and shapes. I tried to discuss with the employee without any luck and did not push further as the woman getting her nails done next to me was bleeding from at least four of her cuticles.
I have attempted to contact the salon for a week with no response - it’s probably safer for me not to give them the chance to fix their poor work. Waste of $50, I could’ve done a better job on myself, blindfolded.

Great phone manner, great service, did a great job on my SNS nails. Very good price. Will definitely go back.

I planned on getting a gel manicure but the technician was unable to shape my nails consistently (some pointed to the side, too pointy, or straight) and left them with varying lengths (which when I arrived I had not a single broken nail so this is due to their over filing.) I pointed this out and gave the opportunity to correct the errors, which they were unable to do. So I left without even a clear coat, went straight home and shaped them myself, still unable to really fix them because they butchered my fingers. Now I have to wait a couple weeks for them to grow out; they left some painfully too short, way shorter than my finger tips, shorter than my fianc's! After all that I still charged me the full rate. Worse, they said my toes were dry from the pedicure so I put my shoes on. When I got home the polish was ruined even after 30+ minutes drying time; this suggests they thin their polish with acetone.
