Yum! Loved, loved the food here. The food came out so quick I didn't have any time to duck out for a cigarette in between. Great restaurant to come to when you've got a small to medium sized party.

Even after a 20min wait, the food is amazing, quick and cheap. If your around the area it's a great place to go with a group of friends. It's a must for one of the many Sydney Thai restaurants.

Opium Den is a favourite spot among my friends when we're after a nice, cheapish spot for dinner before heading out for drinks nearby. It's not groundbreaking food or anything, and all the Thai dishes on the menu are pretty familiar. But at least that means it's usually easy to order a few things to please everyone, and it's all good, tasty food I don't think I've had a bad dish yet. It's BYO and there's a bottle shop a couple of doors down, so a night here can be pretty cheap. The vibe is cool and relaxed, and the fit-out is all dim lighting and red decor, so it's intimate and buzzy. It can get pretty busy but they're good at staggering bookings so youll usually get in even if you have to go for a quick drink first. Service is a little brisk but fine, and it's not five star dining so you can forgive it.
