Tried oporto for the first time last week and ordered their single Bondi...
- anazing sauce, loved their special chilli sauce which added the punch to the burger
- found the chicken to be slightly dry, would have liked it to be more juicy
- chips were on the spot! With salt and chilli pepper dressing.
Great spot to grab a burger
This was the first time Ive actually tried out Oporta Chickens. Not a huge fan of fast food, but it was one of those days in which I was in a hurry, hungry and simply looking for something quick and easy to fill me up. Chose the Roman Aioli Burger with large chips. They claim that their burgers are fresh not frozen and grilled not fried. Sounds very similar to the Hungry Jacks slogan, but strangely enough I quite enjoyed the burger. Not sure whether I was just hungry or it was quite good. What I found quite impressive about their website in visiting out of curiosity is you can in fact download exactly what goes inside your burgers, from the mayonnaise, to the cheese it breaks down exactly the kJ, sugar etc basically to the precise serving of what your body is consuming. Highly impressed for a fast food to openly disclose this information. I would like to come back again and try another burger. Service was great, asked for chops to be fresh, and had no issue with that!
this is my favorite Oporto outlet in Melbourne. Dont know what it is but I find the chips and burgers tastier at this outlet than the other one located in the city.
great to visit if you get vouchers which give you a free burger with a burger meal. almost a saving of $4.50.
best time to visit is during lunch time when it is crowded thus you are guaranteed hot chips.
biggest negative of this place is its closing time, it closes at 9pm, which in my opinion is very early for a for outlet.
