Family-owned and run this winery specialises in diverse wine styles made using traditional wine making methods.Located just 9km out of Orange on the Forbes Rd (Escort way), Orange Mountain has a cellar door offering tastings to the public every weekend and public holiday from 9am to 5pm. Terry and Julie Dolle of Orange Mountain specialise in traditional wine making, with styles that stand apart from many other wineries. Terry has specialised in diverse wines such as CharVio (a blend of Chardonnay and Viognier) - this wine has won him recognition for the best white wine in Orange for his 2006 CharVio. Mountain Ice is a dessert wine made from Viognier and Chardonnay picked late in April and then processed as an ICEWINE using advanced technology. Other wines in the cellar door are Viognier, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Shiraz / Viognier and Cabernet Sauvignon all of which have won medals and some trophies. Orange Mountain has become recognised as one of the serious wineries of the Orange and Central Ranges Region.
