Easy changeover process as these are one of the few companies that just do gas, didn't have any need for electricity at a new house. On the phone to get some clarity, explained in easy language and only took about 10 minutes to sign up. Timely response, all good.
Only negative is that (like pretty much every energy provider) it's very hard to work out what somethin actually costs, and it's overpriced. They do offer a better price than others in my situation.
On the phone for one hour on the Origin phone roulette to relocate a gas meter, got passed around numerous times until i got to the staff member who could assist me, and then they informed me to call again on the following Friday to confirm. So i called on the following Friday and again jumped on the Origin phone roulette for 30 minutes, I was transferred 6 times until I got to the staff member who could help me out. I could barely hear the last staff member as their microphone was faulty. They did not sound to confident with his knowledge and took down my number and informed me that some one will call to arrange the gas meter to be relocated. The automated message that i heared every time i called that you are experiencing "an extreme volume of calls", Not Good Enough Originenergy! Todays Grade = Fail
Messed up my moving/disconnection and waited on the phone over 30 minutes from 8.15 to 8.45 one morning, finally hung up in exasperation! Will never use them again.
Just a foornote although ithe nightmare that is the Origin Energy disconnection service is not over yet. Apparently they could not gain access to the meter. I had lived there 13 months in 1 of 12 flats and there was never any problem of access. Worse still they have no process for contacting the customer to inform them of this. Lucky I phoned them when I did! Not only will I never use them again nor will my descendants!
