Osaka Japanese Dining & Bar

Moderately good and reasonably priced, though I'm not sure it really stood out enough for a return visit. Curry was pretty tasty, and hubby's set meal had an impressive array of sides. All of the serves were generous and well-presented, and the meals came out in a pretty good timeframe (though it was fairly empty when we visited). Best item was probably the sushi, nicely cut & textured - very fresh! May be worth a try if you're local, to see if it's to your tastes, though probably not one to trek across town for.

Delicious suburban Japanese restaurant also offering take away. The teriyaki dishes are great and come with miso soup, salad and rice. They also have a selection of Japanese drinks to try. Plenty of parking undercover and nearby as well which is a bonus.

Osaka is the kind of local gem everyone wants to be a part of. From the chefs, calling a welcome as you come in the door, to the regulars, who don't even need to look at the (rather extensive) menu anymore, everyone is a happy chappy at this gorgeous Japanese restaurant. But of course, the sushi rolls are the stars of the show and it's impossible to decide which to get. Topped with those tasty morsels of seared tuna, the Tuna On Fire Roll tastes as good as it sounds exciting. Then again, there's the Salmon Philidelphia option, a hard-to-beat flavour-packed version of the classic sushi roll. Anything you pick, though, will be fresh and generous. I can't fault Osaka Ashgrove!

We love Osaka, fresh healthy beautiful Japanese food, and its just across the road from us so it makes the perfect lunch-date or team meeting spot. The sushi is amazing, fresh and delicious, the teriyaki salmon is to die for and if you are looking for something a little less healthy try their tempura, its the best in Brisbane.
