Went to them for a very simple thing. Sign a letter to say you have had the agreement to split the super looked over by a lawyer and received advice. This in lieu of consent orders because it is an amicable split. Just a letter to say I had consulted a lawyer so that I could finish an amicable where the super co. required this to split the super. O'Sullivan Davies had the audicity to charge me $1,100, look over the half page document (yep, that simple) and then refused to sign the letter. Said I had to do the full consent orders with them before they would not sign, but not to worry as only $7k was the approximate for the consent orders!!! Are you kidding?! That's why we *didn't* go to lawyers in the first place. Told them that the split and settlement is already complete, no arguments, no more assets, decree final and agreed on everything. I didn't engage, but went up against them as a self represented litigant and won the case, defeating their barrister, so I would say they are not very good. There are many reasons I succeeded but one of them was their very sloppy attention to detail and total arrogance.
arrogant and no customer focus. I had the misfortune to engage them for my divorce and property settlement. Their service was costly, inaccurate and slow. I was continuously pointing out mistakes in their work, and they rarely delivered anything on time. My settlement was protracted as a result of their tardiness, and this cost me tens of thousands in additional settlement costs. They also provided me with poor advice regarding a settlement strategy which is only becoming apparent months after the court settlement and is going to cost me $000's. I complained to the partners of the firm and received no satisfaction - despite giving them a lengthy description of the problems I had suffered. Absolutely disgusting to deal with.
