We were disappointed with this place last week. Calamari was awful,eggplant dip was tasteless, and it was over priced for the quality of the food we got. We won't be going back.

Food is pretty good and was good value for money on a groupon voucher. Very small table for 5 of us, was not comfortable at all - that would be my biggest complaint. Service was great for entrees and mains but took forever to get dessert and an extra bottle of wine. Overall, not bad.

Othello is beautifully-placed with lovely river scenery at Southbank. I found the service to be very attentive and quite prompt. Prices are quite reasonable too, especially for Southbank, so it's good value. I had the granite infused with rosewater and that was lovely. the coffee is great. The food is patchy, some things were wonderful and other just so-so. The menu is not huge but the salads can have tasty add-ons which are great.

I read the reviews before I had dinner here. Interesting that there seemed an equal balance of good and bad experiences. Mine was good. I arrived totally starving - for early dinner at 6pm. So the lightning-fast service was appreciated. I had the Pickled Octopus salad - it was a very generous serving of octopus for an entree, but too little salad leaves for my liking. The dish was tasty and nicely flavoured, but a little on the chewy side - not unpleasant though. For main course I had the chicken skewer (souvlaki) which was really good. Again, not enough salad for me, but the chicken was beautifully tender, lovely fresh Turkish bread with a side of tzaziki. Very nice. The only problem from my whole dinner was that they ran out of vodka ... how does that even happen?? Anyway, the food was good - the surroundings are far more plain than I expected, but the service was good and I enjoyed it. I would go back.
