We've recently moved to Bardon and have discovered this lovely cafe...friendly staff, delicious food and gourmet treats. The coffee is great...and I'd also recommend the peppermint tea. I look forward to the take home curries...they are becoming a weekly treat in our house.
I love going to the Deli/Cafe and I can't understand all the poor reviews it's getting on here! The owner, Gail, is absolutely lovely and always makes sure we're looked after. She gets pretty busy sometimes but she always makes the effort which I definitely appreciate. Her food is always great, although sometimes she doesn't have everything available on the menu because she's sold out or the market produce isn't up to her standards! Fine with me.
Good coffee and great food. Service can sometimes be slow but it's always worth the wait!

My husband and I were looking for somewhere different to try for Sunday breakfast and, as we've regularly seen the sign on the side of the Simpsons Road advertising the cafe, we thought we'd give it a go. For a Sunday morning at 9.30am the place was very quiet, with only 1 other table occupied, although it was obvious other people had been and gone. We were pleasantly surprised to find a decent menu range, but with prices in align with cafes closer into the CBD, so a little expensive, but then Bardon considers itself an exclusive suburb. ...read more
I was keen initially to try a local cafe. I ordered a fritatta with a side of rice salad. I was charged $6.50 (full price) for a tablespoon of rice salad, which I thought was a bit extreme considering the amount I received. For $6.50 I would have expected a bigger serving than that. What totally was unforgiving was finding a hair in my fritatta well cooked into my last piece of frittata. It was short, thick and kinky. I don't want to even think about where it came from. Suffice to say, I won't eat off the beaten track again.
