Ouzeri Mediterranean Restaurant Cafe Bar

Ouzeri or "Greek Feast" as my girlfriends and I lovingly refer to it, is fantastic. We have been dining here for years and often will frequent for catch ups and birthday dinners. Always ordering the Ouzeri Feast, the souvlaki, dips and haloumi are to die for. Added bonus - it's BYO. How can you not?

A spontaneous decision on a Friday night. We got there at about 7.30pm and were a little baffled as to why we weren't allowed to dine inside the restraunt. Anyway, we sat outside and ordered. Since there were 3 in our party, we decided on the ouzeri platter for 3.
When it arrived, we were puzzled that if this was for three, why it only had 2 or 4 of everything. We did mention this to the wait staff and said that we had been given extra of other things. I said that there was no way there was an extra $35 worth of food on the platter, so hopefully the cost was fairly charged at the time of payment.
Surprisingly, but not really, we were not charged for 3, not 2 Seems like someone made a mistake. The food was nice enough. We might go back.

Great location and good food. The platters are better value for sharing with friends, however it isn't an ideal spot for couples. The tables for 2 seem to be the worst seats in the place (on the alley to get to the kitchen and bathrooms).

Great atmostphere outside however even when I book everytime its the tables for two that always get thrown into the worst seats in the dark alleyway next to the toilets ...great romantic date ...

I went to this place on the other reviews here, but unfortunately it was a dissapointment, and over priced. The food is definitely not authentic, although the menu says Greek style. The wait staff are not Greek and one person in the kitchen "may have" been. Nothing about the food was authentic, however what was served was o.k., not great. A popular place in a nice West End setting. But, would not go back again.
