P & O Cruises

Have cruised p&o several occassions before including newly refurbished pacific explorer in Aug 17. Don't know about refurbished. Saw many pics from previous customers of princess dawn mmmmm refurbished? Sewerage smell for first few days I'm sure was a hang over from pre-refurb. However, I decided that we would give Pac Ex another go so booked 13day hol to NZ for this Nov. I wanted a mini suite because of 2 seat lounge. You only get 1 tub chair in balcony rooms which are for two people. Mini suite from $3200 on line but when I rang to book it, because I didnt want a $780 pp drinks package the room suddenly escalated to over $4000 and no $300 on board credit. Have just booked with Royal Carribean. Will not said with p and o again. Shonky.

well for food selection and ports of call p and o does get a thumbs up but as far as respecting complaints of noise during our cruise they did not offer any assistance at all, with frequent wake ups at 4 am from drunk passengers it was not a good night sleep any night out of seven. enjoyed the shows immensely, the choice of duty free on board was so so compared with other cruise lines. hope there is some improvement would give it another go if so.
