Located in Flemington next to the show grounds, this restaurant can be seen as a local favourite. Service was ok, and also food came out pretty quickly. Decent portion as well. From the main meals, we ordered the fish of the day, the veal schnitzel, the crumbed lamb cutlets and also the seafood linguine. All meals was average, but on a bit on the oily side. Would prefer the veal to be coupled with a side of salad instead for a balance.
When they said it's a family restaurant, it is a family restaurant preferred choice for the customers as well. It was quite loud in the restaurant and we struggled to hold our own conversation and even ordering.
Overall, food and service was average and also on the pricey side given the quality of food. Guess it would be convenient for a decent meal if you're around the area.
I came across this place in the Entertainment book and thought I might give it a try. The place was advertised as an "Italian family restaurant". True to their words, the place really was a family restaurant! There were kids screaming and running everywhere and drunken old people getting loud and rowdy. If you are after a nice quiet place thenI would not recommend this place. I ordered the marina pasta and was pretty decent, the serving size was good and the food seemed fresh. My partner ordered the lamb cutlet, it tasted average. The lamb favour was not capitalised as it was coated in breadcrumbs and fried. I'm glad that I was able to use the Entertainment book voucher to get a discount on the bill. The food is a bit overpriced for an average dining experience. It will probably be a while before I decide to come back.
