Paddington Hardware

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SRERVICE. Half what I wanted was not in stock so ordered and provided Paddington hardware with screen shots from manufacturer’s website. After hearing nothing followed up 3 weeks later and surprisingly the 5 items had arrived just that morning. When I turned up at the store, 5 items all brown were actually 4 items, 2 black and 2 brown. After being told that you get what you’re given and you have no choice, never mentioned earlier and not mentioned anywhere on the manufacturer’s website, I asked for them all to be the same colour and get the missing item. NO communication from Paddington hardware since this occurred on the 22 August 2024. Absolutely disgusting service and staff. I am several $100s out of pocket because they are incompetent and will not accept any responsibility for their mistakes. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS!

I ususally dont make reviews very often but customer service is definatly not what it used to be, and this place is proof. You can roam around for 20 minutes looking for help, being ignored by the staff members while looking for things. No one asks if you need a hand or if you need assistance every time i walked into this store. If you ask for help you get a dead stare and they point you in a round about direction where you are still trying to search for things for 10 minutes. If you try to make small talk while waiting for service with them they just ignore you. Its just awkward and disappointing that a small hardware store totally lacks any form of customer service, and everyone who works there are dry, rude, and dismissive. From now on i ll be heading to Bunnings, where the customer service is warm and inviting, and always ready to assist.

This place is great! It looks little but they have a LOT of stuff in there; despite being a fraction the size of a Bunnings or Masters, they seem to cover all of their bases. Equally good for a browse or specific item/s - they have a fantastic range and the prices aren't outlandish either. Only a few plants (where would they keep them??), but all of the tools and home renovation items you could possibly want, from veggie seeds to sturdy drains to fancy door handles. Somehow I end up buying many more things than I intended...

Staff are very helpful, I expected prices to be expensive but actually quite reasonable.
