Had a bad experience when my child was told he could only have either face paint or a balloon. My 3 year old waited patiently for a balloon only to be told he couldn't have one, not because there were lot of other kids waiting, just because Cheryl needed to make balloon in between parties for kids that "missed out" on face painting. Felt this was an unreasonable excuse given there weren't many children at each party anyway. My son was inconsolable and was still not given a balloon until the party organiser had to ask for him to have a balloon to which Cheryl outlined that that "was bad parenting". It was only till the owner of the party venue stepped in that he finally got a balloon. I would think the success of a party and a face painter/ balloon twister is based on whether children are happy. Ignoring a crying child when it would have been easy to just give him a balloon shows limited empathy and care. Came out of the party very disappointed.
