I went here for the first time with some friends a little while a go its a little small but had a great time anyways.
Its usually not my type of music but the old school tunes brought back so many memories - They played songs I totally forgot about. =)
I would definitely be back!
However, it's best to get there a little earlier so you don't have to wait long in the queue as it can get packed later in the night.
Palms is an iconic LGBTIQ night club on Oxford Street, you do get a happy mix of others. Palms is known for its 80-90s music, think Cindi Lauper, Spice Girls, etc and long queues after midnight. Don't be discouraged however, the long queues are indicative of the great time you will undoubtedly experience inside. The nightclub itself is a bit daggy, a bit dark and almost grungy...but that's what the patrons love about it - myself included. To ensure you don't get turned away, make sure to wear closed shoes and be cognisant that its in an area affected by lock out laws. Get there early to avoid disappointment.
