Pancakes On The Rocks

I love coming here when I'm out exploring sydney harbour and the rocks area with friends. It's so busy in the Sunday brunch time but it's a great atmosphere of excited locals and tourists. I find sharing dishes give you more variety! Their pancakes are always so fluffy, blueberry topping is my favourite.

45 minute wait to get inside. At half midnight.

Entertainment along the lines of girls wearing heels and not knowing how to walk in them. Drunk people sitting on the tables where the markets are usually during the day and making out. Oh and falling over.

The service was a bit slow. We waited about 30-45 minutes for our pancakes. Our food came out at different times as opposed to all together. We had to listen to the high pitched yelling of some drunken wench in the booths behind us screeching to her friends about what they should and shouldn't eat. I was half tempted to screech back but I refrained.

Definitely much more enjoyable when you skip the drunk crowd. But where else do you go at half midnight with mates when you crave pancakes?! Ah, the dilemmas.

this is my first time the fish was frozen cold. my daughter and I are so disappointed as this was a day out. the lady came to me and said I charge you for the chips. I embarrassed for them even saying that. so disappointed honestly not good.

The service is really friendly and checked to see how we were doing.

We went with Eggs Benedict, Aussie Sunrise, and Vanilla & Choc Surprise. The pancakes were nice and fluffy as usual. It was also very filling as more than enough for our group as we shared the plates amongst us.

Overall you know what to expect from them and doesn't disappoint.

The Devils Delight ($15.95) is death by chocolate - chocolate pancakes with strawberries, cream, chocolate ice cream and drizzled with chocolate sauce. And while there’s pizza, steaks, ribs and savoury classics to choose from, you really should go for the crepes. Thai Chicken Crepes ($15.95) have been on the menu from long before Thai was cool. The chicken wrapped in spicy satay sauce, carrots and coriander topped with fresh bean shoots and crispy ginger is a cacophony of flavour. There are Ice-cream Sodas ($4.95) or Asahi ($7.95), depending on how you like to roll with your pancakes. Whether you’re a kid or a big kid at heart, this unassuming venue will embrace you.
