The wholemeal block was well-proofed and had good flavour. I was also relieved that it wasn't too salty. You can taste the difference between this fresh loaf and commercial breads straight away; there's better texture and a nice crisp crust. If I was being pedantic (my favourite pastime) I'd criticise their slicer. The thinnest setting (medium) is still pretty thick. Even so, for such a wholesome loaf, I don't mind. The small fruit bun was likewise pretty good. There was a decent amount of fruit, and it was again not too dry. To take it to the next level it needs a heavier or more generous glaze, and maybe a little extra spice, just to distinguish it from a plain white bread dough. Good little Italian styled bakery.
Fresh Pizza's......and a thing called a ZEP!
got to be experienced......take away the pizza's ....a really traditional style too.
Lots of nice little cakes too.
Staff were friendly, and prices are good......a really good local store.
