My partner and I enjoyed a beautiful meal here recently. The food was great and the service was efficient.
I asked the waitress why the menu item 'Anna's Prawns and Scallops Saganaki' didn't contain any saganaki. The response received was that 'saganaki' in Greek means 'Cheese'. Now even I, an all Australian who love Greek cuisine knows that that is not true. Honesty would have been a better response... the word for cheese is 'tyri'! Don't treat your customers like fools.
I came to this restaurant tonight with my girlfriend for dinner as it close to her house. The restaurant itself is nice but nothing special. .Reading the menu we started with an entree, "dolmades". The vine leaves were acidic and old, with the rice inside being overcooked and disgusting. The dip with which it came lacked flavour. Next, we ordered "Mousaka" which was microwave cooked and consequently was dry. Furthermore, the supposed bechamel sauce was not included. We also ordered "Vickie's Garlic Garides" which was the worst of the lot. The rice was definitely microwave cooked and full of raw garlic. The prawns were overcooked, hard, and had not been properly cleaned (the intestine hadn't been removed). The sauce was acidic and tasted like raw garlic. When you pay a decent amount of money (approximately $60), you expect the food to be of restaurant quality.
