Parlamento Restaurant
Parlamento evokes Melbourne's inner-city Italian bistros with its urban vibe, smartly dressed staff and dependably good food. The bistro shares its neighbourhood with the casino, railway station, five-star hotels and its namesake across the road, Parliament House. The bistro has a comfortable, timeless style with parquetry floors, a central bar and splashes of red. Autographed photos on the wall show the famous people who have eaten here, the likes of Harry Connick Jr, Andre Agassi and Kate Ceberano. The menu is emphatically Italian with traditional pasta, risotto, veal and seafood dishes given a modern edge. The bistro has an easygoing, informal atmosphere.

I came for lunch and was impressed. It was busy (as always) but we were served quickly and in a friendly manner. The arancini balls were delicious and a perfect size for a lunch order.
I also attended a function here and again, was impressed. The food was better than the usual function fare found elsewhere and the serves were enough so that no one was hungry. Can recommend.
Decided to have breakfast here ordered our coffees and ordered our food. 20 mins after ordering our food the staff come over and inform us that one of our choices (unfortunately the one that we were really looking forward to) has run out but fail to bring a menu so that we could pick something else. Return with a menu and we re-order. whilst these things happens it was disappointing from such an Adelaide institution. However, the staff are all friendly and there's enough to make sure that you don't have to wait.
To their credit the food came out quickly after that. We were divided on the mozzarella sandwich - I thought it was tasty enough but my friend thought it was bland. The side order of bacon was great though - great taste, very little fat and a decent serve. The fritatta was also tasty but the presentation was a bit ordinary.
